Do most New Orleans tourist spots allow water bottles?
Next week I'll be touring New Orleans with my family. We'll be doing lots of walking in the heat, so I'd like to carry a bottle of water in my bag. However, I do not want to cause any issues with bring fluids into any historical places (I had this happen a couple times during my Washington DC trip).
So, I'm looking for advice from people who have traveled or lived there. Should I have any issues carrying a bottle of water?
I can't think of anywhere you would have a problem with a bottle of water in your bag. Even restaurants/bars that don't allow outside beverages won't have a problem with a water bottle in your bag.
Note that some museums don't allow bags (they store them while you tour the museum) and I don't know if they would have a problem with you carrying a bottle of water in your pocket. You should be able to leave it in your bag.

I've been there many times and usually carry water with me everywhere. I have never had a problem there. Remember, this is the city where it's legal to walk the streets with a cocktail, so I doubt water would be a problem. Have fun! One of my favorite cities.

No, you should have no problem doing so, except for maybe the museums, but almost every place allows you to bring water inside due to the hot temperatures.
