Where To Stay In New Orleans For Mardi Gras 2010?

im planning a trip to mardi gras for 6 of us. We are all in our 20's and looking to have a really good time. We are very budget minded. Any help would be appreciated.

There are lots of hotels in and near the French Quarter. Since there are so many of you, there shouldn't be too much trouble staying in a fairly nice hotel

Budget accommodations are very hard to find in New Orleans during Carnival, and especially for the last 5 or 6 nights before Mardi Gras Day.

Check the travel sites like Expedia and Orbitz. Also check the hotel sites once you narrow your choices. Go to http://www.frenchquarter.com for some non-chain hotels in the French Quarter.

Most of the hotels have a multi-night minimum during the last week of Carnival, so call the hotel and talk to a human if you have problems booking online.

Note that not staying in the city center means having to find a rare + very expensive parking place every day, and trying to park on the street means risking having your car towed by the City.

A bed & breakfast or an apartment might work for your group:
