Why do tourists to Louisiana flash their chests during Mardi Gras?
And I don't just mean New Orleans. I live in a town (small city) called Houma. We have Mardi Gras parades here to. And people who go to parades bring their kids. Well, this past year, I went to the one parade I could get off work for, and low and behold there are these skanks from Mississippi flashing their boobs. Now, if they were in New Orleans, I wouldn't care, because I wouldn't have to look at it, and there wouldn't be children around, but that pissed me off to no end because there were children running around everywhere. I don't want my family exposed to that nonsense.
Women, listen to me when I say this: If you want beads so bad, go buy some. The ones you catch when you flash your breasts, I could go to a store and buy a whole gross (12 packs of 12 beads) for about $20, and I get to keep my self respect.
Umm, I didn't say anything about Latina women… The skanks I were referring to were white. So you tried to sound all tough, but you just ended up looking kind of dumb.

Also, to the gentlemen who said its part of the party: Look up the history of Mardi Gras, it was a way for the Catholics to get all of their partying done before Lent began…. had nothing to do with flashing. And again, I didn't go to New Orleans, the flashing came to me and my family.

I'm from Metairie so I'll explain it to you. Mardi Gras has a tradition that women show their breasts for beads. It sounds silly,but it's reality. Of course,the alcohol is the liquid courage in doing this. On Bourbon Street it is very common for it to happen. But for a small town like Houma,those girls should have been arrested. I know that the northshore isn't condoning that type of behavior. They don't even do that in Metairie. They would be arrested on the spot. Any Mardi Gras parades outside of New Orleans are family oriented. I hope this helped you some. I miss Metairie. Thanks alot,Katrina!
