Which street in Lafayette Louisiana would be best compared to Bourbon street in New Orleans Louisiana?

I don’t think there is anything like Bourbon Street or the French Quarter in Lafayette.

However, Bourbon is only one street in the FQ and the FQ is only a small part of New Orleans. NOLA has a lot more to do than just Bourbon Street and the French Quarter.

I would not call the hand grenade and hurricanes amazing. The pimms cup at napolean house and planters punch at pat o’s are better drinks to try.

My favorite Restaurants:

Jaquimos( Best Alligator Cheesecake and blackened red fish),
Rio Mar
Commanders Palace(MY FAV), Muriels(Turtle Soup, Goat Cheese Crepes, and Pecan crusted drum),
Coffee Pot (FAVORITE RED BEANS and breakfast),
Upperline( TURTLE SOUP and FISH PIQUANTE USA todays best dish)
Lilette
Irenes,
Galatoise- Very famous and very good

What is the ISBN number and title of this drink book I bought in New Orleans?

2 years ago I bought a drink book in New Orleans. I lost it, and I need to get another one. I dont remember the title, i think it was Bourbon Street Bartender or something along those lines. It is a paperback book, small, purple cover and about 200 different drinks in it. It is not New Orleans Bartender, that is a different book. Can you help my find the title and or ISBN number of the book I’m talking about?

I think this is the one you’re talking about, but this is the only site I’ve found it listed. It’s only 36 pages so probably falls under the heading of booklet rather than book and seems to be more of a souvenir type item than book per se. At least you can see if it’s the same one. The title is indeed Bourbon Street Bartender. I didn’t try the contact links but that might be worth a shot. I note the calendar they offer is from 2008.

What do you think of my photos of Canal Street in New Orleans :)?

I took these a few years ago (disregard the erroneous date on the photos):
http://s385.photobucket.com/albums/oo297/samianquazi/?action=view&current=CanalStreet1.jpg&newest=1
http://s385.photobucket.com/albums/oo297/samianquazi/?action=view&current=CanalStreet2.jpg&newest=1
http://s385.photobucket.com/albums/oo297/samianquazi/?action=view&current=IntersectionofCanalandStCharleswher.jpg&newest=1

And this one’s at the intersection of Canal Street and Bourbon Street:
http://s385.photobucket.com/albums/oo297/samianquazi/?action=view&current=IntersectionofCanalandBourbonStreet.jpg&newest=1

And I can remember the idiosyncratic Hustler’s right at the entrance of Bourbon Street!
Ahhh… memories…

I did my undergrad at Tulane, but moved back to Houston four months ago after graduating…
EDIT: You have to click on the Zoom In button on the top left of the photo… then it looks good…

Beautiful :]
I’ve never been… but when the Utes went to the Sugar Bowl, my neighbor went to see them and puked in the middle of Bourbon Street… he brought me back a nice picture of that.

Sean Payton arrested on Bourbon Street in New Orleans for Drunk in Public?

APRIL FOOLS!

New Orleans cops would avert their eyes and let him get away with a few drinks or whatever anyway. They are all Saints fans.
