Best Hotel to Stay at on or close to Bourbon Street?
Will be in New Orleans in October and would like to be near the action in French Quarter. Don't want to spend more than $125 a night. Plan on being out late so noise isn't an issue.

I was going to rec. The Royal Sonesta but, geez, prices have really gone up. Getting $125 will take some searching. Perhaps some of our other experts can help you more.

The Inn on Bourbon and Royal Sonesta all have balcony rooms that overlook Bourbon street which could be fun although they are probably not a $125 depends on when you are there.
Perhaps try Bourbon Orleans they have balcony rooms too just off Bourbon and think it might be closer to your price range and what you want out of the hotel which is location. I hear mixed reviews on this place but Its nothing fancy but prices are good for that location.

Royal Sonesta is right on Bourbon St. but it is expensive. Try some of the hotels a few blocks away like the Royal St. Charles.

Bourbon Orleans is nice and close to the action without being right in the action!

I’ve stayed at most of the hotels listed here, and of all of them I would say that the St. James Hotel is the best.
