I want a mid-priced hotel near bourbon street in new orleans over the holiday weekend. any suggestions?

I’m traveling to New Orleans over the holidays. I want a hotel near bourbon street/french quarter .. and want it to feature a hot tub and breakfast. any suggestions?

I would check out the Bienville House Hotel on the 300 block of Decatur
it is in the Quarter, and only about 3-4 blocks from Bourbon. Its a pretty nice joint and well priced from what I recall.

What are some of your "must-do’s" in New Orleans?

I would like your input on some of the "must-do’s" of New Orleans. What would you rate as your:
1)Favorite tour
2)Restaurant
3)Bar/Club (gay preferably)
4)Lunch
5)Dessert/coffee
6)anything else you can recommend

Thanks in advance.

Jackson Square, St Louis Cathedral, Cafe Du Monde, Rvierboat(don’t eat there the food is terrible) Zoo, Aquarium, Historic New Orleans Collection, Royal St. Antiques, Magazine Street Shopping, Airboat Swamp tour, Mardi Gras World, Ride the Streetcar, You can just walk around to see the Architecture! I would also suggest Getting off the streetcar and walking in the garden district to see some gorgeous houses. I would get off the streetcar and first look at the Bradish- Johnson House at 2343 Prytania St. From there you can just walk!

Go EAT!!

Museum- Historic New Orleans Collection, Ogden, Dday, the cabildo, Pharmacy, Confederate Museum, US Mint…

Music- Frenchman st!!(snug Harbour, DBA) Check out what is playing at tipitinas, HOB, Howlin Wolf. Tipitinas has cajun dancing every sunday night, and Preservation Hall

Some Restaurants; Brennans, Cochon, Jaquimos( 2nd FAV), Rio Mar, Commanders Palace(MY FAV), Muriels, Old Coffee Pot (FAVORITE RED BEANS and breakfast), Upperline, Lilette, Irenes, Gumbo Shop, Napolean House( FAV. LUNCH SPOT), One on Hampson, Brennans, Crepe Nanou, Tommys Restaurant, Brigtsens( GREAT), Dragos(famous for Chargriled oysters), Domileses(awesome poboys), Favorite coffee- Cafe du monde

Cemetery tours in New Orleans question.?

There are many cemetery tours on New Orleans and since I can only go to 1, which one is the best one to do ? We are staying in the French Quarters.

This tour is very popular http://www.gotobus.com/hauntedtour/citytour/neworleanscemetery1_daytour.html and a good deal at only $20. I heard it is a good time.

Inn on Bourbon Street?

Has anyone stayed at the Inn on Bourbon Street in New Orleans? Is it a nice hotel?

Sorry you aren’t getting any answers.

I have not stayed at the Inn on Bourbon but have been in the hotel many times. It is a Ramada property and certainly seems nice.

It is in the middle of the French Quarter at the corner of Bourbon Street and Toulouse Street. Many of the rooms face Bourbon Street and have a balcony. Note that balcony rooms overlooking Bourbon tend to be noisy, especially on the 2nd floor. Great for partying but not great for sleeping. If you stay there and want quiet then ask for a courtyard room.

Where is a good sushi restaurant near the french quarter in new Orleans la?

We are going to New Orleans for a friends bachelorette party.. She wants a good sushi restaurant within walking distance of where we will be staying on Bourbon St.
If you have any other suggestions of great authentic cajun cuisine ?
Last time I went to NO I was disapointed in the quality of the food. I remember growing up it was always soooo good.
Thanks

Horinoya (504 561-8914) is a good Sushi restaurant downtown. It is at 920 Poydras Street, across the street from the Hilton Homewood Suites hotel.

For Cajun, try K-Paul’s in the 200 block of Chartres Street and Coop’s Place in the 1100 block of Decatur Street.
